Collection: XIRO

XIRO (zero) is a our line of sustainable knives made from locally sourced, reclaimed materials. We make no sacrifices with the quality of these knives using only known, high carbon nickel steels, from industrial saw blades. We use both 15N20 and 8670 that have been properly reconditioned and heat treated to 60HRC. These steels are incredibly tough and have good corrosion resistance. The handles are made from locally salvaged Richlite, a phenolic resin and recycled paper product that’s just about the toughest stuff on earth. The pins are bronze braising rod used by metal fabricators. The wood is milled on my family’s costal property out of trees brought down by storms. The wood is all professionally stabilized for long lasting quality. This makes XIRO not only a sustainable product but a truly superior tool.
